The Joliet Young Musicians Mentor Band is a no-cost summer music program for 6th-12th grade instrumental musicians in the Joliet community. Junior high students will receive musical instruction; Joliet high school band students will receive musical leadership training. Band directors, music staff, and select high school students will serve as instructors. All students will participate in both small groups and a full band, and will perform as a band in a community performance.

Participating students should have at least one year of instrumental music experience, and should have access to an instrument.

The camp takes place from July 8-11, 1-5pm, and July 15-18, 1-5pm. All sessions occur at Joliet Central High School in the band room. A performance is scheduled for July 19 in the evening at Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park.

This camp is open to all students attending a middle or elementary school that send into Joliet Township High School District 204.
